Adoption Fees

 There is an adoption fee for a dog and it usually depends upon age and health/vet care requirements of rescued dogs. Adoption fees are in place to defer the veterinary costs for all of the dogs in our care. All veterinary records known to NEBTR will accompany each dog upon the completed adoption agreement, along with a record for services rendered while in our care. Our adoption fee schedule is as follows:

Puppies (0 – 2 years)

$700 

 

  • Puppies require extensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, deworming, spaying/neutering, and general wellness checks.
  • They need consistent training, socialization, and patience as they grow.

Young Adults (3 – 5 years)

$600 

  • Typically energetic and well-adjusted, but may still need reinforcement training.
  • Have likely received most of their core vaccinations and preventive care.

Adults (6 – 8 years)

$500 

  • Usually house-trained and more settled in temperament, making them great companions.
  • May require routine medical checkups but often have fewer high-energy needs than younger dogs.

  • Loving, loyal, and often already well-mannered.
  • May require extra veterinary care, such as arthritis treatment, dental work, or special diets.
